Are you spreading happiness at work? Here are some ideas about how to "measure" your positive impact.*
Check off any of the following accomplishments:
I have praised someone in the last 24 hours.
I have helped someone in the last 24 hours.
I have smiled at 5 or more people today.
In the last week, I have repaired a strained relationship that resulted from a misunderstanding.
I notice when my colleagues work hard and reach for a certain level of excellence - and I say something to them about it.
I make time to ask others how they are doing - and I listen to the answer.
I make it a point to say positive things about change and our ability to deal with it.
I make a point of creating a positive work environment - for myself and others.
I take 5 minutes to review my day before I leave for home - and create a "to do" list for tomorrow.
I conduct a weekly review: did I make a difference this week? Was I happy? Did I have fun?
Before I leave work, I write down 3 good things that happened that day.
In the last 24 hours, I have told someone that I cared about them.
I always smile at people I meet.
I have laughed out loud today - go ahead and laugh out loud now. It will make the people around you feel good.
