For those who don't know, I often work out of my home office when I am not working with clients.
My husband Al, a conductor and a musician, works in his office downstairs - mine is upstairs.
While he is programming, preparing, orchestrating, I often hear music seeping into my office. I hear classical music, opera, choral and am able to take so many other musical adventures.
Music is such a normal part of my work environment that I often don't hear it.
Today is NOT one of those days!
I hear "We are the Champions" blasting from downstairs (part of his prep for an upcoming pops concert). Okay - and I have to admit I closed my door in an effort NOT to hear any more of it, but.... inside of myself, I know it is a secret message for you and for me.
When that happens, it makes me smile.
Take a moment to listen to the song - just the first few words. Have you taken any kicks this week? Made any mistakes? I'll bet you've come through with flying colors!
What have been your "champion moments" this week (i.e., that moment where you have pushed through despite all the odds)? Count them. You're doing great!
Celebrate victories this week. Have your team do the same. You might even start your team meeting with "We are the Champions." It may make them smile! Feel your champion moment.
Thanks, Al.
